Who we are

Abalone Bio is a preclinical-stage biotech company developing antibody drugs for GPCRs, ion channels and other membrane protein targets

We are developing our own therapeutics as well aspartnering with pharmaceutical companies to discover drug candidates for their targets.
At the core of our company is a functional antibody discovery platform comprising asynthetic biology-powered cell-based enrichment component and an NGS-poweredcomputational selection component. Our discovery platform simultaneously tests the entirediversity of antibody libraries, directly identifying antibodies that can activate targets. Our massive proprietary activity datasets power our ML models to extend into novel sequence space and create optimized activating antibodies. Our antibodies access challenging targets in ways other drugs can't, enabling therapies for patients with significant unmet medical needs.
